BEIJING, Nov. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Jinxian Road is a small road connecting Shaanxi Road S. and Maoming Road S. But it has become one of the more popular streets for Shanghai's young fashionistas. Fashion boutiques, designer shops, antique dealers, restaurants and cafes are worth a browse. All kinds of fashion gear and accessories can be found on the street. It also boasts several hot hangout spots such as Citizen Caf and Pier 39.

Creative jewelry

Creative jewelry has been in business for more than seven years and was one of the first boutiques to open on Jinxian Road. The jewelry boutique provides one off pieces from around the world, predominantly South Korea, China and Europe. There is a vast selection of accessories on offer with around 4,000 different styles of necklaces, earrings, bracelets and evening bags. Simple, elegant Korean style jewelry is contrasted to bright, decadent European styles and caters to a variety of tastes. Prices range from 30 yuan (4.71 US dollars) for children hair accessories to more than 2,000 yuan for larger, more detailed necklaces from Europe. Rings are around 100 yuan and clutch bags are priced between 500 yuan and 1,000 yuan. Many designs make use of animal motifs and there is a selection of crystal encrusted spiders, peacocks and elephants in an array of bright colors, providing an interesting shopping experience. Great for party and special occasion buys.

Yamado

Entering Yamado is like going on safari. The selection of beautiful, handmade bags are surrounded by foliage and brass antiques, emulating the jungle. The third in a chain of Shanghai designed bag boutiques, Yamado offers handmade quality bags made from a variety of leathers. In keeping with the décor, the bags are made using crocodile, horse and cow leather as well as a variety of other leathers and furs. The bags are simple and Japanese in style and use muted tones such as browns, blacks and creams. Purses and wallets are priced at 1,000 yuan (157 US dollars) and belts are around 800 yuan. There is a selection of bag styles and sizes; large, practical pieces cost around 3,000 yuan and small clutch bags are around 2,000 yuan. Yamado provides investment bags that are stylish and durable.

Bbmilk's

Bbmilk's is a small boutique which offers vintage-style clothing at affordable prices. The boutique provides one-off pieces, specifically selected to be in keeping with current European trends. Open for around four years, Bbmilk's offers an interesting variation from the simple, Japanese-style boutiques in this area. The majority of the clothing is sourced from around China and several pieces are designed by the Bbmilk label. Clothing is made from a variety of fabrics and colors, including several T-shirts displaying interesting designs. There is a range of good quality winter coats in a selection of colors and materials; prices range from 1,000 yuan (157 US dollars) to 2,000 yuan. Fashionable ankle boots are priced at 500 yuan and leather bags are between 800 yuan and 1,000 yuan.
